Newtyle beat is centred around the village's of Dunkeld and Birnam, in Perth and Kinross, Scotland, approximately 13 miles north of Perth on the eastern side of the A9 road into the Scottish Highlands. Approximately one hour from Glasgow and Edinburgh airports, and two hours from Inverness by car.
We are able to offer a variety of salmon and sea trout fishing on the prestigious Newtyle beat which comprises of two miles of very picturesque middle River Tay. Throughout the beat there is 2 miles double bank with 16 named pools. Conditions are suitable for both the fly and spinning and can comfortably accommodate the novice and more experienced angler alike with good vehicular access to both banks.
From 15th January- 28th February there will be a maximum of 8 daily let rods.
From the 1st March - 15th October a maximum of 6 rods will be available for booking.
Exclusive use of the beat for a maximum of 12 rods including tackle is obtainable.
Andy Gunn, our head ghillie, offers high customer service levels and is a superb Spey-casting tutor and will be present each day from 8:30am to 5:00pm to offer beat advice.
